Odisha youth held for shooting intimate moments of girlfriend

Cuttack: A youth was arrested here for allegedly recording intimate moments of his girlfriend with him on mobile phone without her knowledge.

The accused was identified as Debidutt Harichandan (23) of Reba village in Salipur area of Cuttack district.

Debidutt, who has qualified his MBA degree, is accused of inviting his girlfriend to a lodge, having physical relationship with her and capturing their intimate moments on his mobile phone without her consent.

Mahila Thana police arrested the accused following a media report published in a leading vernacular newspaper on Friday.

Police seized a mobile phone containing obscene video and other objectionable items from possession of the youth. The statement of the victim has also been recorded.

According to reports, the victim, a graduation student, had come in contact with Debidutt in 2015 when he was pursuing his MBA degree at a private college in Bhubaneswar and staying at Bauriasahi in Tulasipur. Both came closer following mobile messaging and internet chatting.

The youth allegedly called the girl to a lodge in Badambadi area and had physical relationship with her. Without knowledge of the girl, Debidutt allegedly shot the video of his intimate moments with her.
