Bhubaneswar: An attempt to cheat online shopping platform Flipkart cost dearly to a youth in the Odisha Capital. The Commissionerate Police arrested the youth, Dharmendra Jena on charges of cheating Flipkart by accusing the company falsely of delivering a wrong parcel to him.

As per reports, Dharmendra ordered for a laptop on the online shopping platform and made the required payment a few days back. Subsequently, Flipkart delivered the laptop to Dharmendra’s address.

But Dharmendra lodged a complaint at the Flipkart’s office in Mancheswar alleging that a parcel containing soaps and other items, instead of a laptop, was delivered to his address.

Suspecting something wrong in the allegations, the Flipkart authorities filed a complaint at the Mancheswar police station.

After preliminary probe, police raided the house of Dharmendra and seized a new laptop and iphone. Following this, the youth was arrested yesterday.
