Odisha youth thrashed, forced to kneel down for ‘theft’

Balasore: A youth was thrashed and forced to kneel down by another youth for an alleged theft at Balasore Railway Station this morning.

The incident took place at 5.00 am on premises of Balasore Railway Station where a youth was caught by a group of people over suspicion of stealing a bag from a person.

Instead of handing him over to the police, the accused was beaten up by the complainant and was forced to crawl on the road.

Shockingly, the crowd on the premises was watching the humiliation meted out to the victim for alleged crime, but none stepped in and tried to prevent it.

Till filing of the report, the police was not informed about the incident.
