Sambalpur: A youth from Sundergarh district with suspected coronavirus disease (COVID-19) was admitted to VIMSAR, Burla today. As per reports, the youth who returned from South Korea recently will undergo a medical checkup at the hospital.

Sudarsan Pothal, a doctor at Department of Pulmonary Medicine of VIMSAR informed that the youth will be kept under observation for next seven days at the special coronavirus isolation ward. Samples of the youth will be sent to Bhubaneswar and outside the State for tests. The doctor further said the youth will be allowed leave the hospital only after getting the test reports.

Sources said the youth accompanied by a medical team is being brought in a special vehicle to VIMSAR.

Worth mentioning, at least 2,707 people lost their lives across the world due to coronavirus so far whereas 80,352 people have been found to be infected with the disease.
