Bahrain : On behalf of the Indian Embassy located in Bahrain, an exhibition has been launched for Odisha under the Self-reliant India of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for One District One Product (ODOP) of the Government of India. This exhibition is an Indian exhibition. The exhibition will continue for two months with the support of the Bahraini community.

After Rajasthan, Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh and Karnataka, Odisha is the fifth state whose rural folk art products are displayed in the Art Gallery of the Embassy.

Folk handicrafts represent the social, economic and cultural life of the region and Odisha's handicrafts are very coveted and attractive, said Vinod K. Jacob, Ambassador of the Embassy. The most important thing is that Jacob gave his speech in Odisha while praising the products of the State.

On behalf of the embassy, specially invited by the founder chairman of Bahrain Odia society. Arun Kumar Praharaj and members of Bahrain Odisha Society participated in the exhibition and gave detailed information about the products of different districts of Odisha.

Pattachitra and Chandua of Puri, tribal products of Mayurbhanj, Tarakasi of Cuttack, Dokhra of Dhenkanal, Singhakam of Ganjam, Bandhkala of Sambalpur etc were brought by Arun Kumar Praharaj from Odisha and exhibited at the Indian Embassy

Dr. Praharaj said that the call of self-reliant India by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is an important achievement and the rural artists of Odisha have perfectly translated it through handicrafts.

While inaugurating Odisha's District-a-Product Wall in a ceremony at the Indian Embassy, Ambassador of India  Vinod K. Jacob deeply appreciated the efforts of the Bahraini Odia community and said that their effort in Bahrain has played a major role in the actual implementation of the A-District-a-Product program.
