Balasore: Bringing laurels to Odisha, sculptor Biswanath Rana of Paikasta village under Bahanaga block of Balasore district has created world record for making the smallest Ashoka Emblem on the nib of a pencil.

The feat has found place in World Book of Records and India Book of Records.

Rana took around an hour to sculpt the miniature having size of 0.5 cm.

He had earlier presented the mini sculpture to President Droupadi Murmu and Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.

Furthermore, his sculptures have been placed at various temples in West Bengal, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Jharkhand and Tamil Nadu.

Rana has also sculpted the 10-feet-long Bharat Mata statue and 7-feet-long Konark Wheel at the Odisha Raj Bhawan.
