Odisha’s Chandipur DRDO PXE gets new Director

Bhubaneswar: The eminent scientist Subodh Kumar Nayak has been appointed as Director of the Proof and Experimental Establishment (PXE) of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) in Chandipur of Balasore district.

Nayak was an alumnus of Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT) in Burla and he graduated from the premier educational institution in 1991 as a mechanical engineer with Honours. Subsequently, he got an M.Tech Degree from IIT-Mumbai in aerospace engineering.

After completing his Fellowship at the Defence Institute of Advanced Technology (DIAT)-Pune, Nayak joined as a scientist in the DRDO-Pune in September 1994. He successfully worked on several projects in different capacities of DRDO before being appointed the Director of PXE, Chandipur.

Nayak has hands-on experience of decades as a scientist in the manufacturing and development of warhead systems. Born in Sambalpur, Nayak assumed charge of his new office on Monday.

The new Director received a warm welcome and good wishes from Odia people across the country.
