Odisha’s COVID-19 death toll inches closer to 2,000 as 9 more die

Bhubaneswar: The number of COVID-19 death cases in Odisha inches closer to 2,000-mark with nine more patients succumbing to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours. The toll stands at 1997.

As per the Health and Family Welfare Department, the fresh deaths were reported from six  districts. Khordha district recorded highest three deaths.

Besides, two deaths were reported from Keonjhar and one each from Bhadrak, Cuttack, Ganjam and Sundargarh districts.

Details of the fresh deaths are awaited.
