Odisha’s COVID-19 tally breaches 1.5 lakh-mark with 3913 new cases
Bhubaneswar: As many as 3913 fresh COVID-19 positive cases were detected in Odisha in the last 24 hours. With this, the state’s tally today crossed 1.5 lakh-mark.
Total state count now stands at 150807.
Of the total fresh cases detected from 30 districts, 2348 have been reported from different quarantine centres while remaining 1565 are local contacts. Contact tracing and followup action is underway, said Information and Public Relation (I & PR ) Department.
Khordha recorded highest 556 fresh cases followed by Cuttack (382 ) and Puri (212).

With the new cases, the number of active cases in the state rose to 34849. However, 1,15,279 patients have recovered in the state so far.
It is pertinent to mention here that total 50,979 number of samples were tested in the state in the last 24 hours. So far 2,423,124 tests have been conducted in the state.
