Odisha’s Dutee, Purnima clinch medals at Fed Cup Championship

Patiala/ Bhubaneswar: Odisha athletes Dutee Chand and Purnima Hembram have made the State proud again by bagging medals on the last day of the Federation Cup National Senior Athletics Championships in Patiala, today.

Asian Games silver medallist sprinter Dutee clinched gold in the 100-metre sprint category, clocking a time of 11.45 seconds, her personal best this year. The Odisha athlete took to social media to share her big moment.

Similarly, heptathlete Purnima Hembram won a silver medal with 5597 points in the Heptathlon category today at end of the four-day championship that will conclude this evening.
