Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s Jagatsinghpur district has won the national-level SKOCH Crucible Award for e-governance, informed Collector Sangram Keshari Mohapatra today.
On the behalf of the District Administration, Mohapatra thanked Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for his constant guidance in this regard.
In March, Jagatsinghpur became the first district in the country to go paperless with the launching of e-office system.
All functions of government offices in the district have been digitised. The system envisions a paperless office with increased efficiency, transparency and expeditious movement of files.
SKOCH Award, instituted in 2003, is the highest civilian honour in the country conferred by an independent organisation.
