Odisha’s KIIT University bags CCI Technology Education Excellence Award

KIIT University in Odisha has bagged the CCI Technology Education Excellence Award as the ‘Best University, Promoting Research and Development’.

Prof PP Mathur, vice chancellor, KIIT University received the award at a glittering presentation ceremony held in Ahmadabad.

This award recognizes the research and development initiatives of the university. The awards, conferred in various categories, have been instituted jointly by the Consortium of Co-Chairpersons Industry (CCI) of Gujarat Technological University (GTU) and Communication Multimedia and Infrastructure (CMAI) Association of India.

GTU hosted second conclave on Afro-Asian countries and seventh seminar on designing structure of technological university, along with second CCI Technology Education Excellence Awards 2014.

The programme was graced by Shaida Mohd Abdali, ambassador of Afghanistan to India, Rizali W Indrakesuma, ambassador of Indonesia to India, Dr Lewis Mbilizi, deputy high commissioner of Malawi to India and Ndubuisi V Amaku, high commissioner of Nigeria to India.

Vice chancellors of more than twenty universities were also present to discuss the designing of the technological institutions in the country.
