Bhubaneswar/Mumbai: Odisha's no.1 private FM station Radio Choklate has been bestowed with two coveted awards at the second edition of Radio4child Awards jointly organised by UNICEF and Association of Radio Operators of India (AROI) held in JW Marriott in Mumbai yesterday evening.

RJ Sangram and Manas Padhiary won the awards for the Best Public Service Announcement on EndViolence-FM for Biswas. RJ Sangram was also adjudged winner in the Best RJ Link EndViolence-FM category for Jibanara Kete Ranga. Along with these, Radio Choklate had entered nominations in two other categories: RJ Niel in Best Public Service Announcement (Routine Immunisation) category and RJ Komal in Best RJ Link (Routine Immunisation), making Radio Choklate 104 FM Dhum Mitha the station with highest number of nominations amongst 17-odd private FM stations across India.

Tanaya Patnaik, Executive Director of Radio Choklate (Sambad Group) was among the guests invited by UNICEF and gave awards for the community radio categories, along with UNICEF Celebrity Advocate, Madhuri Dixit.

Radio4Child Awards is an endeavour by UNICEF in association with AROI that highlights the cause of routine immunization amongst other social issues related to children and utilises the creative power of radio as a medium for spreading awareness.
