Bhubaneswar: Rama Devi (RD) Women's University is all set to open PG courses for the girl students passing out of the premier educational institution as well as other colleges.
The admission into the PG courses like MBA, Education and Journalism & Mass Communication departments will be held from upcoming academic session, said Vice Chancellor (VC) of Rama Devi Women's University Professor Padmaja Mishra.
Attending a two-day national seminar held by Biotechnology department of the varsity on Tuesday, Mishra said there will be facility for research here in association with Institute of Life Sciences (ILS) and Central Institute of Freshwater Aquaculture (CIFA) in the upcoming days for students at the university. An MoU with these institutions will be signed soon for the research.
Also, a women's hostel for divyang students and a study room set up in library will be inaugurated on foundation day of the university on December 3, she said.
A 400-bed hostel, administrative and academic block and a new library will be functional by June 2018, Pfof Mishra added.
Inaugurating the seminar, Odisha Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi said that there should be application of modern technology in agriculture. Expressing his concern over crop loss, he said that the seminar will help in addressing the pest attack.
