Odisha’s Similipal National Park opens for visitors today

Baripada: The Similipal National Park in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district reopened for visitors today after closure for four months.

The wildlife sanctuary, which was closed for visitors since June 15 in view of monsoon season, reopened earlier this time instead of November 1.

As usual, 35 vehicles from Kaliani Gate at Jashipur and 25 vehicles from Pithabata Gate at Baripada can enter the forest and tourists can enjoy the journey in the Similipal Sanctuary filled with natural beauty.

Elaborate arrangements have been made by Similipal Sanctuary authorities for the tourists inside the forest.

“I am very excited to see wildlife as well as flora and fauna of the Similipal National Park. This time, it opened for us very early than expected date. Everyone should visit here to spend some time with nature from their busy life,” said a tourist from Baripada.

“Visiting a place on the opening day brings much happiness. Although this was my third visit, I am excited to visit here on the first day. I am expecting to see all wild animals during brief trip,” said Niki Mohanty, a visitor from Baripada.
