Odisha’s Similipal National Park reopens for tourists

Baripada: The Similipal National Park in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district, which was closed due to the COVID-19 situation, reopened for tourists today. It had remained closed since mid-March due to the pandemic.

A maximum of 35 and 25 four-wheelers will be allowed to enter the park from Kaliani gate and Pithabata gate, respectively from 6 am to 9 am per day, the authorities said. Two ticket counters have been opened at the two gates.

Night halt at Gudgudia, Kumari, Ramtirtha, Barehipani and Jamuani in the national park can be booked at www.ecotourodisha.com.

COVID-19 guidelines and precautionary measures are being strictly followed at the national park.
