Odisha’s Sindura Rout celebrates her 18th birthday with debut Telugu movie success

Bhubaneswar: Even with big Bollywood releases, Telugu movie Marodrushyam continues to mint moolah at the box office, said an elated Sindura Rout. This Odisha-born actress made her debut on the silver screen with this science-fiction thriller, which hit theatres on December 15, opposite Tollywood actor Rajendra Prasad.

She is now back in her hometown, Bhubaneswar, to celebrate her 18th birthday and the success of her movie. “Marodrushyam is really doing well. We’re planning to dub it in Kannada with some variations, re-shoots and another romantic track. There plans to dub it in Hindi, provided it does well in Karnataka too,” she informed.

Based on zombies, her second ‘untitled’ movie is all set to be released soon. “The poster will be out in February and my character in this movie is completely different from what I played in Marodrushyam,” she said.

The expressive eyes have won her appreciation and a chance to feature in a romantic Hindi music album in which Bollywood singer Alka Yagnik has rendered her voice. “The shoot in Shimla has been completed. For a beach scene, we will go to Goa during March-April and later fly to Manali to wrap it up,” she said.

The 18-year-old actress, overwhelmed with success coming her way in the maiden film, is looking forward to another eventful year. “I want to continue working hard and hope the 18th year will bring some more adventure into my life. I wish to do an Odia movie as well,” she said before signing off.
