Bhubaneswar: After four months, Odisha’s single-day COVID-19 tally today dropped below 1,000 as 987 cases were reported in last 24 hours. With this, the state’s total caseload surged to 3,03,780.
Of the total fresh cases detected from 29 districts, 572 have been reported from different quarantine centres while remaining 415 are local contact cases. Contact tracing and follow-up action is underway, said Information and Public Relation (I & PR ) Department today.
Sundargarh recorded highest 107 fresh cases followed by Khordha and Angul with 86 cases each.
Currently, the number of total active cases in the state stands at 12,584 and recovered cases at 2,89,689.
