Bhubaneswar: Miss India Asia Pacific International 2017, Sonika Roy has made Odisha proud by winning the first subtitle in National Costume Competition at Miss Asia Pacific International 2017 in the Philippines.
She wore a lehenga with ethnic prints, lotus jewellery and a chakra signifying India and looked absolutely gorgeous.Â
Miss Brazil won the first runners-up title and Miss New Zealand the best in Hairstyle in the competition.

Sonika Roy, an actress from Odisha, was also the finalist at Femina Miss India 2017 and also 2015. Besides, she has won the title of Miss Odisha, 2015.

Miss Asia Pacific International is the oldest beauty pageant in Asia, headquartered in the Philippines. The grand finale of the beauty pageant is set for November 29 at the Newport Performing Arts Theater of Resorts World Manila (RWM).
India has been crowned thrice before- Zeenat Aman in 1970, Tara Anne Fonseca in 1973, Diya Mirza in 2000. And has hopes this year from the very talented Sonika Roy.
