He completed the sand art in three days.

The sand sculpture will remain on the beach till January 1, the new year of 2018.

Last year, Pattnaik had smashed his own records in 2016 making one thousand Santas with support from 35 students over a period of four days to raise awareness about global happiness.

Earlier, the sand artist had created a 45-feet-high Santa Claus at Puri sea beach during Christmas in 2015. Along with 20 students, he created the sand art in 22 hours with the message of ‘World Peace’, to find a place in Limca Book of Records. In 2009, he first made 100 Santas and 500 in 2012 at Puri beach during Christmas.

In December 2013, Pattnaik created a 160-ft-long Santa Claus using green-coloured sand to spread awareness on the importance of environment protection. He constructed the sand sculpture in 16 hours with help of 15 students for Limca Book of Records and broke his own record of moulding a 100-ft-long Santa Claus in 2006.
