‘Of 16 suspected coronavirus cases in Odisha, samples of 14 are negative’

Bhubaneswar: Odisha can breathe easy as samples of 14 persons out of 16 with suspected coronavirus (COVID-19) symptoms in the State tested negative. This was informed by Odisha Health Secretary Nikunja Dhal today here. He further said if anyone is suspected with the disease symptoms, blood samples of the concerned person is immediately sent to RMRC, Bhubaneswar for tests.

More than 110 countries have been affected by coronavirus. A total of 1.21 lakh people were infected with COVID-19 whereas 4,365 died of the disease, the official said. As many as 60 persons in seven states and three Union Territories in India have been infected.

Apart from China, coronavirus cases in significant number were found in Italy, Iran, South Korea, Spain, France, Germany, Switzerland, Japan, UK, Singapore and Malaysia, he informed.
