Officials told to complete Ekamra Project in Odisha capital by New Year 2025

Bhubaneswar: 5T and Nabin Odisha chairman VK Pandian today directed the officials to complete the Ekamra Development Project in the capital city here by January 1, 2025.

Pandian gave this direction while reviewing the project work today morning.

The 5T chairman inspected the Lingaraj temple heritage corridor work as part of the Ekamra project and asked the officials to ensure all facilities for the devotees visiting the 11th century shrine.

He also inspected the construction of parking lots, vending zone and new building of Lingaraj police station near the shrine.

The 5T chairman put emphasis on the proper rehabilitation of the vendors and shopkeepers who were earlier evicted for the mega project, sources said.

During his visit to the Ekamra Khetra, the 5T chairman held discussions with the officials regarding a proposed alternative road connecting Koti Tirtheswar temple to Bindu Sagar tank. He asked the civic authorities to expedite the process for land acquisition for the road project.

The 5T chairman directed the officials concerned to take the necessary steps to avoid any traffic issue during the upcoming Shivratri festival.
