OHRC breather for youth denied treatment at hospitals in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Human Rights Commission (OHRC) today ordered a private hospital in Bhubaneswar to carry out surgery of an injured youth who tested positive for COVID-19.

Hearing a petition filed by the injured youth’s brother, the human rights panel asked the Director of KIMS Hospital, Bhubaneswar to immediately take up the required treatment surgery of the youth, Ranjit Nayak if he is still admitted to the hospital. The cost of the treatment will be borne by the patient, the panel added.
