Odisha govt to hold special OJEE entrance test on Aug 10

Acting on the directive of the Odisha High Court, the state government today decided to conduct a special Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) on August 10.

Odisha JEE OJEEAs decided by the government, the special entrance would be held for admission in the B.Tech stream while the second OJEE test would be held for admission in the MBA and MCA streams.

The OJEE authorities would publish an advertisement on August 2 and complete the process of applications and filling up of forms within five days between August 3 and 7.

Students can download their admit cards from the OJEE website www.ojee.nic.in on August 8 and 9 before the commencement of the test on August 10.

The results would be published on August 12 .

The spot counseling is scheduled on August 14.

The eligible students would then report to the concerned college authorities for admission.

It may be mentioned that the High Court had issued a directive to this effect on Friday in response to a petition filed by the Odisha Private Engineering College Association (OPECA).

Stating that nearly 37,000 seats in the aforesaid streams had fallen vacant in several engineering colleges in the state after the conclusion of the OJEE counseling, the Association had prayed the court to direct the OJEE authorities to conduct a special test to fill up these vacant seats.
