Ollywood actor’s manager held in Odisha Capital for transporting liquor

Bhubaneswar: The police arrested two persons including Ollywood actor Papu Pom Pom’s manager on charges of transporting liquor in a car in Khandagiri area in Bhubaneswar today.

Two cartons of liquor and cash were seized from the possession of the actor’s manager, Gitu and his associate.

Acting on a reliable information, the Quick Action Team and Khandagiri Police intercepted a car. During a search of the vehicle, 96 bottles of IMFL, Rs 4750 and three mobile phones were recovered. Police seized all the items including the car.

As the COVID-19 lockdown has been in force, police searched the manager’s vehicle going to a place without necessary pass.

Sources said a cognisable case has been registered against the two accused.
