OMFED to hike milk prices, hints Odisha Agriculture Minister

Bhubaneswar: Consumers in Odisha are likely to feel the pinch in coming days as the State government is considering to raise prices of milk sold by the Odisha State Co-operative Milk Producers’ Federation Limited (OMFED). Following a workshop of dairy farmers here, Odisha Agriculture Minister Arun Sahoo hinted at a hike in milk prices.

Keeping in mind the interest of farmers and consumers, a decision on milk price hike will be taken soon, added the minister.

As private players in the segment have raised the milk prices recently, the State government is mulling an increase in rates of OMFED milk.
