One dead, 3 hurt in car-truck collision on way to Cuttack  

Paradip: In a severe road mishap, a car en-route to Cuttack from Paradip was hit by a truck claiming one life near Loknath Gada on Cuttack-Paradip road late last night. Besides, three others suffered injuries in the mishap.

The deceased has been identified as Sarada Prasanna Swain, a resident of Nua Bazaar area in Cuttack.

Sources said Sarada along with three others was heading to Cuttack, when a truck collided with their car at Loknath Gada and fled the spot. While Sarada died on the spot, critically-injured Siba Prasad Swain and Deepak Jena were shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital. Another occupant identified as Bijay Kumar Sahu, who suffered minor injuries, was given first aid at a hospital at Atharabanki.
