Cuttack: A fatal road accident occurred late Tuesday night near Trishulia in Odisha's Cuttack district when a truck collided with a car and fell off the Kuakhai bridge, killing a person and leaving four others injured.

The injured ones, including both drivers, were rescued and taken to the SCB Medical College and Hospital, where their condition was stated to be critical.

Reports indicate that the accident took place when some TV serial artistes were returning to Bhubaneswar in the ill-fated car after a shoot. The truck, traveling in the opposite direction, hit the car and lost its balance, causing it to fall off the bridge.

On being informed, Fire Services personnel and police rushed to the spot, recovered the body for post-mortem, and started investigation.
