One more area declared Micro Containment Zone in Odisha

Rourkela: With more detection of COVID-19 positive cases in Rourkela city, the civic body authorities declared one more area as the micro containment zone to prevent spread of COVID-19 infections.

The Rourkela Municipal Corporation (RMC) Commissioner Dibyajyoti Parida declared Income Tax Colony at Uditnagar area as the Micro Containment Zone with immediate effect till further order for active contact tracing to break the chain of the deadly virus.

With the order, people entering into the containment zone or going out of the area will be restricted.

With implementation of the RMC order, all vehicular movement, movement of public transport and personal movement will be stopped.

All the inhabitants within the containment zone shall strictly remain in home. The supply of essential goods and medical requirements will be ensured through various teams of the RMC.

Yesterday, the RMC had declared two areas in Sector 1 and Sector 20 in Rourkela city as micro containment zones. The areas included H-Block quarter number  313 to 340  and quarter number 353 to 380 of Sector-1 and B-Block quarter number 123 to 130 and  quarter number  133 to 140.

Today, Sundargarh district reported the highest COVID-19 cases of 523 in last 24 hours.
