One more COVID-19 positive case detected from Odisha’s Mayurbhanj; tally rises to 206

Bhubaneswar: Barely a few hours after Mayurbhanj district registered maiden COVID-19 cases, one more person tested positive for the deadly virus in the district today taking the total count to 206 in Odisha.

The positive patient from Mayurbhanj district is a 35-year-old male with a travel history to Surat., informed Information & Public Relations Department.

The person infected with novel coronavirus has been under quarantine. The contact tracing exercise is underway by the district administration.

With this, total number of positive cases of COVID-19 in the tribal district increased to 4 with all active cases.

Earlier in the day, three cases were reported from Mayurbhanj. All the patients are Surat returnees, according to Health & Family Welfare Department.

Following the fresh cases in the Mayurbhanj, Odisha Government classified the district as Orange zone to take strict measure to contain spread of COVID-19.
