One more young Journalist from Odisha succumbs to Covid

Bhubaneswar: Another young Journalist from Odisha died today after being afflicted by Covid-19. The late Journalist, Sumit Onka hailed from Koraput district. He was 33.

Onka was working as Principal Correspondent with The Pioneer in Visakhapatnam.
Onka started his journalism career from Orissa Post. He later joined The Deccan Chronicle.

Social media has been flooded with condolences messages as news of Onka’s demise broke out.

Few days back, Journalist Pritiman Mohapatra from Bhubaneswar, Debendra Samantaray from Sambalpur, Adwaita Prasad Biswal from Rourkela, Amjad Badshah, Doordarshan (DD-2) anchor Bhanu Prakash Rath and Manas Ranjan Jaipuria died of the coronavirus disease in the State.
