One more Odisha girl punishes eve-teaser in public

While the trajectory of crime against women is reflecting an upward trend in Odisha in the recent times, the fairer sex is in no mood to spare their tormentors. This is evident from the case in Cuttack and the latest from Jajpur where the girls thrashed the wrongdoers in full public view.

A Plus III first year (Commerce) girl student of Narasingh Choudhury Autonomous College, Jajpur punished the eve-teaser here along the roadside, the video of which has gone viral on social media.

Reports said that three girls of the NC College were returning from collge in a scooterette when the accused stalked them till some distance and passed lewd comments.

Despite their resistance, the two bike-borne Romeos kept on teasing the girls. One of the girls took on the duo and beat him in public while her friends recorded it on mobile camera.

The accused was seen pleading before the girl and apologizing for his act. However, the girl was in no mood to spare him.

It may be recalled that a girl from Cuttack had resorted to a similar act when a youth inappropriately touched her in a busy area in the city earlier this month. She slapped him with her chappal in busy Badambadi area in evening hours.
