Two of family killed, 2 critical in attack by miscreants in Odisha’s Sambalpur

Sambalpur: Two members of a family died while two others sustained critical injuries in an attack by miscreants at Central Line area of Burla in Odisha’s Sambalpur district last night.

According to reports, the assailants came in a car and launched attacked on Bulu Bisoyi (34), his father, mother and brother Muna (32) with sword and knife while they were present at their house. The victims were critically injured in the incident and rushed to VIMSAR in Burla, where doctor declared Bulu dead.

Later, Muna succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at the hospital.

Police have detained four persons in this connection and started an investigation. Though the reason behind the attack was yet to be ascertained, it is suspected that the incident was a fallout of past enmity.
