Bhubaneswar: Shankar Ramchandani, an assistant professor in the department of medicine at VIMSAR, Burla, who won hearts with his 'One Rupee Clinic' for the poor has been invited to singing reality show Indian Idol as guest.

The doctor and his wife Sikha Ramchandani will be special guests for an episode of the show.

"Great gift today on the 10th marriage anniversary of me as we both have been invited as special guest in Indian Idol of Sony TV," wrote Ramchandani on his Facebook account.

Shankar Ramchandani has opened the clinic at Kachha Market area in Burla town where patients have to pay only Rs one for availing treatment. He started the clinic in a rented house where the service is available from 7 AM to 8 AM in the morning and 6 PM to 7 PM in the evening.
