Onion-laden truck meets with accident in Odisha’s Ganjam; driver, helper dead

Berhampur: A truck carrying onions from Maharashtra met with an accident killing both driver and helper on the spot at Jagannathprasad locality in Odisha’s Ganjam district this morning.

The identity of both deceased persons is yet to be ascertained.

According to reports, the onion-laden truck en route to Berhampur from Maharashtra crashed into a roadside tree near Kokalaba area under Jagannathprasad Block in Ganjam district today morning. The driver and helper of the wrecked truck died on the spot.

On receiving information, the Tarasingi police reached the site and recovered the bodies. They investigated into the matter after seizing the truck.
