The Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) today began the process for online registration for admission in the B.Tech streams after the announcement of the JEE Main rank cards by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) yesterday.

“We have already announced the date for registration of the students having ranks for admission in the B.Tech first year on July 2. The online registration would continue till July 17. We have decided to open 18 nodal centres in the state from July 10 where the students can verify their documents and go for choice locking. The nodal centres would remain open from 9 AM to 6 PM," said OJEE chairman Tusharkant Nath.

He said the temporary seat allotment would be held on July 20 while the final seat allotment would be made on July 25.

"The students can get the details from the OJEE website www.ojee.nic.in, Nath informed.

The students can take admission in six government and 87 private engineering colleges in the state.

While six government engineering colleges have 3530 B. Tech seats, there are 43,019 B. Tech seats in 87 private engineering colleges in the state, he added.

It may be mentioned that the JEE Main examination was held in April this year in which about 13 lakhs students in the country including 50,000 students from Odisha appeared.
