Opening of firecracker shops permitted in Odisha’s Cuttack for Diwali

Cuttack: Permission has been granted for opening of firecracker shops in Odisha’s Cuttack city for Diwali celebrations, informed Cuttack DCP Prateek Singh today.

A decision regarding the location of the shops will be taken later. Maintaining of social distancing and wearing of mask will be mandatory at the shops, the police official said.

Singh further informed that Kali Puja will be celebrated in the city amid adherence to COVID-19 guidelines.

As many as 15 platoons of police force and 50 officers will be deployed during Kali Puja here, he said.
