OPEPA Accounts Officer, 2 cops in Vigilance net

Bhubaneswar: Vigilance officials today raided the office and residences of Odisha Primary Education Programme Authority (OPEPA) accounts officer Nalini Prusty in Bhubaneswar on charges of amassing property disproportionate to his known source of income.

Officials of the anti-corruption wing searched Prusty’s office and houses in Bhubaneswar, Puri, Chhatrapur and Kendrapara.

However, the exact amount of disproportionate assets in his possession is yet tobe ascertained.

In a separate incident, separate Vigilance teams conducted raids on the office and houses of two constables identified as Ranjit Limma and Tanuj Sabat of Paralakhemundi in Gajapati district on charges of acquisition and possession of assets disproportionate to their known sources of income. The raids were conducted at five places simultaneously.
