Orange warning issued for these Odisha districts

Bhubaneswar: The Regional Meteorological Centre today issued orange warning for many places of Odisha for next five days from Friday.

The weathermen predicted thunderstorm with lightning and gusty surface wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph is very likely to occur at one or two places over Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nuapada, Bolangir, Sonepur, Boudh, Sambalpur, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Ganjam, Gajapati district and also heavy rainfall at one or two places over the districts of Angul, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Ganjam and Kandhamal. Orange warning has been issued for these districts.

Thunderstorm with lightning and gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph is very likely to occur at one or two places over the rest districts of Odisha. The forecast is valid from 0830 AM of April 24 to 0830 AM of April 25.

The forecast is valid from 0830 AM of April 25 up to 0830 AM of April 26.

Orange warning (be prepared): Thunderstorm with lightning and gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph and heavy rain very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Rayagada, Gajapati, Kandhamal, Mayurbhanj, Dhenkanal, Puri, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara Balasore and Bhadrak.

Yellow warning (be updated): Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the rest districts of Odisha

The forecast is valid from 0830 AM of April 27 up to 0830 AM of April 28.

Today, Malkangiri was the hottest place in Odisha with day temperature at 41.2 degrees Celsius.

Bhubaneswar and Cuttack recorded maximum temperature at 36.9 and 36 degrees, respectively.
