OT of this Odisha hospital sealed after doctor, nurse test COVID-19 positive

Puri: An operating theater of the District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) in Puri was sealed after a doctor and one nurse tested positive for COVID-19.

By the order of CDMO, the authorities sealed OT of Gynaecology Department to prevent further spread of infection.

With the move, the patients were found sitting outside the operation theater and waiting for resumption of the facility in the hospital.

Last week, intensive care unit (ICU) of the state-run hospital had been sealed after a patient admitted to the ward was found positive for COVID-19.

The Puri has registered 753 COVID-19 cases with 371 active cases so far. The virus has claimed 3 live in the district.
