Bhubaneswar: There are 128 cold storages in the state, out of which 80 are defunct and only 48 are operational, Finance Minister Niranjan Pujari informed the House today.

Replying to a question asked by Pipili MLA Pradeep Maharathy in Assembly, the minister said that efforts are underway to revive the cold storages, which are non-functional.

However, the power is being provided to the cold storages at subsidised prices under Potato Mission, Pujari told the House.
