Over 100 cattle rescued in Odisha’s Balasore, 5 held

Balasore: More than 100 cattle were rescued from five vehicles near Seragada toll plaza on NH-16 in Odisha’s Balasore district today when the animals were allegedly being smuggled.

According to reports, four trucks and a pickup van were illegally transporting the cattle from Bhadrak to Kolkata while police intercepted the vehicles near the toll plaza, this morning.

The cops rescued the animals and detained as many as five persons for questioning in this connection.
