Bhubaneswar: Even after implementation of various schemes for building rural road network, as many as 3,323 villages in Odisha are yet to get road connectivity.

This was revealed by Odisha Panchayatiraj Minister Pratap Jena in a reply in the House yesterday.

Answering to a question by BJP Chief Whip Mohan Majhi in Assembly, the minister informed the House that the government is taking initiative to connect the villages with the respective gramp panchayat offices at estimated cost around Rs 19.50 crore in phases under various schemes including Gopabandhu Gramin Yojana (GGY) and by utilising funds like District Mineral Fund (DMF).
