Over 5.9 lakh students to appear Matric exam this year in Odisha

Cuttack: As many as 5, 90,330 students will appear the annual High School Certificate Examination (HSCE) this year, the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) informed today.

Speaking to the media, BSE President Jahan Ara Begum said: “Out of 5, 90,330 students, as many as 5,67,254 examinees will appear in the regular category and 19,737 students in the ex-regular category.”

The examinations would be conducted at 2,818 exam centres this year, he added.

Similarly, the board will conduct the exam for the correspondence courses for 3,334 students at 46 exam centres and for the State Open School, exams will be held at 101 exam centres for 13,978 students, the board President told.

The matriculation examination will begin from February 23, 2018 and the board has identified a total of 302 nodal centres for the safe storage of question papers.

The online filling up of forms for the Matric examination was completed in November 2017.
