Padma Shri awardee from Odisha hospitalised

Jeypore: Tribal agricultural activist Kalama Pujari, who has been conferred with the Padma Shri Award for his contribution to agriculture, has been admitted to Koraput district headquarters hospital (DHH) after falling ill last night.

Doctors at the hospital said Pujari was hospitalised late last night. She has been been diagnosed with high blood pressure.

Worth mentioning, three personalities from Odisha- Kalama Pujari (Agriculture), Devarapalli Prakash Rao (Social Work-Affordable Education) and Daitari Naik (Social Work) have been conferred with Padma Shri award this year.

The three personalities will receive the prestigious award from President Ramnath Govind at a ceremonial function at Rashtrapati Bhawan later.
