Padma Shri Kamala Pujari discharged from SCB Medical College and Hospital

Cuttack: Social activist and Padma Shri awardee Kamala Pujari was discharged from SCB Medical College and Hospital here today following improvement in her health condition.

Pujari accompanied by a few of her family members returned to Jeypore in Koraput district through a special ambulance, sources said.

Pujari was suffering from kidney ailments and she was brought to SCB from Jeypore in a special ambulance on August 25. The social activist was admitted to the ICU of Medicine department at SCB.

The SCB authorities had formed a four-member expert team comprising senior doctors from Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine and Nephrology departments for Pujari’s treatment.

“Pujari has been discharged from SCB after improvement in her health condition. Her test reports were found to be normal,” said a senior doctor.

Pujari had been admitted to the District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) in Koraput on August 21.
