Pandemonium over farmer suicide prevailed in Odisha Assembly for the sixth consecutive day as Opposition Congress and BJP members created ruckus over the issue today.

As soon as the House assembled for the day, both Congress and BJP legislators rushed to the Well of the House demanding constitution of a House Committee to probe into the cases of farmer suicide.

They also created noise shouting anti-government slogans.

Unable to run the House, Speaker Niranjan Pujari adjourned it for an hour.

After the House reassembled, Congress and BJP members created din demanding hike of Minimum Support Price (MSP) of paddy per quintal to Rs 2,800.

Following the uproar, the Speaker adjourned the House till 3 PM.
