Panel for establishment of Odisha HC bench reconstituted

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government has reconstituted the committee formed for consideration of various aspects for establishment of permanent bench of the Orissa High Court in western and southern region of the state.

A notification in this regard has been issued by the Home Department of the Odisha Government.

While the Development Commissioner has been appointed as the Chairman of the committee, secretaries of Home, Finance, Revenue and Disaster Management, and Law departments are the members of the panel.

Special Secretary to Government in charge of Home (High Court) Department is the Member Convener of the committee.

The State Government had formed a similar committee in March, this year under the chairmanship of the then Home Secretary Asit Tripathy, who is now the Chief Secretary.
