Panel set up to select new VC for Berhampur University in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Governor set up a committee to select new Vice-Chancellor for Berhampur University.

The three-member panel was formed for selection of the new VC as the tenure of present VC RP Dash ends on August 3.

As per notification by the Governor’s office, the panel headed by former bureaucrat Chinmay Basu will recommend the names to Governor Prof. Ganeshi Lal, who is the Chancellor of Berhampur University, for final selection.

The last date for applying for the post has been fixed on August 20.

Meanwhile, the official work has been affected at the state’s premier varsity as the present VC is on leave from July 2.
