Pangolin rescued from house in Odisha’s Athagarh

Athagarh: Forest officials today rescued an Indian pangolin from a house at Kharod village near Talachandragiri Reserve Forest under Badamba Range of Athagarh Forest Division today.

The rescued pangolin is currently kept in the Badamba Forest Range and will later be released into Nandankanan Zoom, said Athagarh Divisional Forest Officer(DFO) Sasmita Lenka.

“The pangolin might have strayed into the village from Talachandragiri forest. Arrangements are being made to shift the animal to Nandankanan,” Lenka said.
